Overview

Nviron provides users with a clear and accessible way to permanently delete their account and all associated personal data.

This policy explains how account deletion works, what data is removed, and how to request deletion.

This policy complies with Google Play's User Data policy, which requires apps that collect personal or sensitive user data to provide a means for users to request deletion of their account and data, both from within the app and via an external method outside the app.

How to Delete Your Account

Method 1 — In-App Deletion (Primary)

  1. Open the Nviron app
  2. Tap the Settings tab (bottom navigation)
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account
  4. Read the confirmation message
  5. Confirm your deletion request

Once confirmed, you will be automatically signed out of the app.

Your deletion request will be processed within 48 hours.

Method 2 — Email Request (External)

If you are unable to access the app, or prefer to request deletion outside the app, send a request to:

Subject line: Account Deletion Request

Include in your message:

  • The phone number or email address associated with your Nviron account
  • A clear statement that you wish to permanently delete your account and all associated data

We will process your request within 48 hours of receipt and send a confirmation reply.

This email method serves as the external deletion request method in compliance with Google Play's account deletion requirements. No login or app access is required to submit a deletion request this way.

What Data Is Deleted

When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently and irreversibly removed:

  • Your name, city, bio, and profile photo — Yes, permanently
  • Your phone number (authentication record) — Yes, permanently
  • Your interests and social media links — Yes, permanently
  • Your location data — Yes, permanently
  • All private chat messages you sent and received — Yes, permanently
  • All chat images you sent or received — Yes, permanently
  • All notifications linked to your account — Yes, permanently
  • Connection requests sent and received — Yes, permanently
  • Your likes, hearts, and compliments history — Yes, permanently
  • Your block list — Yes, permanently
  • Your FCM push notification token — Yes, removed on deletion
  • Your Firebase Authentication record — Yes, permanently
  • Your birth year (age verification record) — Yes, permanently

What Data May Be Retained

After your account is deleted, the following limited data may be retained:

  • Reports you submitted against other users — Retained up to 90 days. Needed to complete any ongoing safety investigations your report may have triggered.
  • Reports filed against you by other users — Retained up to 90 days. Needed to maintain platform safety records.
  • Anonymised and aggregated crash diagnostics — No personal identifiers retained. Collected through Firebase Crashlytics and used only for general app stability improvement. This data cannot be linked back to you in any way.

None of the retained data above can identify you personally after your account is deleted.

It is retained solely for safety, legal compliance, and app stability purposes.

Important Notes on Account Deletion

  • Deletion is permanent. Once your account and data are deleted, they cannot be recovered. There is no grace period for account recovery after deletion is processed.
  • Processing time: Deletion requests are processed within 48 hours of submission.
  • Chat messages: Deleting your account will remove all messages you sent and received. This affects both sides of any conversation — the other participant will also lose the conversation history with you.
  • Connected accounts: If you signed in using Google Sign-In, deleting your Nviron account does not delete your Google account. Your Google account is managed separately through Google.

Partial Data Deletion

If you wish to delete specific data without deleting your entire account, Nviron provides the following in-app controls:

  • Delete individual messages — Long-press a message in chat → Delete
  • Delete all messages in a chat — Chat → Menu (⋮) → Delete All Messages
  • Unblock a user — Settings → Blocked Users → Unblock
  • Unblock a user — Profile→ Blocked Users → Unblock
  • Delete an entire conversation — Long press hold → Delete
